Low Cost Prototypes for the Houston Exurbs

We were approached by a developer who does small subdivisions of Single-Family homes on spec. They wanted to work with a different kind of architect that could provide more streamlined and rational layouts, as well as more contemporary residential design, all based on the very strict limits of their proforma and construction capabilities. The project consisted on challenging expectations about American suburban living and retooling its standard construction assemblies, in order to achieve a more dignified and efficient set of house types.
