Art Center in Mexico
A large infrastructural space is inhabited by cubist wooden sheds containing immersive installations. The space of the museum is radical in its ambiguity between interior and exterior. As if inhabiting a ruin, air flows and plants grow under the geometric array of beams, which cast its changing shadow on the floor and walls. Somewhere between a factory and a garden, the unfamiliar setting prepares the visitor for a more intense and immediate encounter with the art work. In its formal language, the project is an homage to the work of American artist Sol LeWitt.
